Slapshot

Touchless fingerprint capture from a smartphone camera.

Capture high-quality, processable, 500 ppi fingerprint images using the camera on your smartphone equipped with innovative software from Integrated Biometrics. Slapshot supports 4-4-2 fingerprint capture, facial recognition, and metadata using state-of-the-art matching algorithms.

Built for Mobile Enrollment, Verification, and Booking

The Slapshot SDK lets developers capture contactless fingerprints and other biometrics within their own apps through calls to the Slapshot APIs.

Enrollment

  • 4-4-2 fingerprint capture from the phone camera
  • Facial recognition and identity metadata in a single encounter
  • Duplicate detection on enrollment against the device database

Verification

  • 1:1 verification using the phone camera
  • Multi-modal queries combining fingerprints and face
  • Remote verification against a centralized biometric database

Booking

  • Field capture without a hardware scanner attached
  • Capture review, quality validation, and EBTS export
  • Selfie or administered capture flow, configured per request

Capture and Matching APIs

Capture API

Allows finger and face captures to be configured and requested from within the application. The API walks the user through capturing the requested biometrics, for example left slap, right slap, or face. Capture requests can be individually configured to meet the use case: selfie or administered, capture review enabled or disabled, quality validation constraints, and more. The data returned can be either images or biometric data embedded in an EBTS file.

Matching API

Facilitates sending images to matching technologies for different biometrics. Developers can create their own matching pipeline from the supported technologies to perform multi-modal queries or remote 1:1 verification from a centralized biometric database.

How Slapshot Works

01

Enroll

Capture left and right slaps and a face, with quality validation and on-screen guides. Add identity metadata, then save to the device database. Slapshot flags duplicates against the existing record set.

02

Search

Query by hand, face, or both. Slapshot runs comparisons against the database and returns matched or unmatched results, with the option to send a remote match query.

03

Database

Browse encounters by type: enrollments, matched and unmatched searches, full records, and flagged duplicates. Each entry stays available for review and re-query.
