Legacy Products

How IB handles discontinuation

IB notifies customers six months before a product is discontinued. After the discontinuation date, IB continues to provide maintenance and SDK support to authorized resellers and integrators of those products for up to two years.

If you hold a warranty that runs past the two-year post-discontinuation service period, IB honors the original dates defined by that warranty.

End of Sale

The last day IB sells the product. Existing inventory may still ship if available.

End of Life

The last day the product is supported under standard IB warranty and support agreements. No further technical support, replacement units, or warranty service.

End of Support

Hardware may be supported beyond the End-of-Life date for up to thirty-six months from purchase, if a valid extended warranty agreement is in place. The actual date depends on the terms of that agreement.

  1. Columbo V2 series

    • End of Life January 1, 2026

    The Columbo V2 single-finger scanner is no longer supported as of January 1, 2026. The IBScan Ultimate SDK remains available for integrators carrying existing deployments forward.

  2. Five-0 unencrypted models

    • End of Sale August 1, 2024

    Five-0 and Five-0 OEM unencrypted models are no longer sold. Encrypted models have a part number ending in E00 (for example, FV11100-E00). Unencrypted models end in 000 (FV11100-000). IBISDK support for these units ends with release 3.3.2.

  3. Columbo V2, LEM 5000, Curve, eCurve, and Curve PI

    • End of Support Variable

    An end-of-life batch covering early Columbo V2 hardware, the LEM 5000 board family, and the full Curve and eCurve lines. End-of-Support is variable per extended warranty agreement, up to thirty-six months from the purchase date.
